<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for processing a bead which sufficiently suppresses stress applied on a tire. <P>SOLUTION: The unit for processing the bead includes: at least a support structure 2 that can be connected to a tire exchanger A or the like; at least a support element 3 connected to the support structure 2 and moved toward the rim C of a wheel D mounted on the tire exchanger A; first actuator means 6, 8 for moving the support element 3 on the support structure 2; at least a bead processing tool 4 connected to a free end of the support element 3; a second actuator means 12; and a converting means for converting the movement generated by the second actuator means 12 into the parallel movement of the bead processing tool 4 substantially along a startup of a curved line between a first limit position where the bead processing tool 4 is substantially farthest away from the rim C and a second limit position where the bead processing tool 4 is substantially closest to the rim C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
