PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily removing gel nail coating for effectively removing the gel nail coating applied on nails and for allowing a user to perform other works while removing in home. SOLUTION: A tape body 1 having appropriate width and length includes adhesive materials 2 and 2' formed on both sides on one side of the tape body, and a water retention member 3 such as cotton which has appropriate width and is formed approximately adjacent to one of the adhesive materials 2 and 2'. One of the adhesive materials 2 and 2' on one end of the tape body 1 is firmly fixed to an inner surface of the finger as the start of winding. Thereafter, the tape body 1 is wound around the finger tip so that the water retention part 3, which is impregnated with a nail polish removing liquid 4 beforehand or at the moment, is closely adhered to the nails applied with the gel nail coating. The tape body 1 is fixed by one of the adhesive materials 2 and 2' on the other end of the tape body 1 and is left as it is in an appropriate period of time.
