Ski or snowboard comprises a plate-like power transfer element (13) extending over more than 50% of the length of a sliding board body (1) and supported within its longitudinal extension in partial sections on the upper side (7) of the sliding board body. The power transfer element is connected to the sliding board body via a number of connecting zones (30) which are spaced from each other in the longitudinal direction of the power transfer element. Preferred Features: An elastic connecting unit (31) is arranged within one of the connecting zones. The elastic connecting unit comprises an elastomeric damping element arranged in a passage of the power transfer element.
