<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of relative change so as to make the maximum separating distance between a light source and a focus lens longer and relatively changing so as to make the minimum separating distance between the light source and the focus lens shorter and simply performing a tilting operation using an operation rod while it is separated from hands of an operator. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device 1 has a front box 4, a rear box 8, a middle box 9, a front connection mechanism 10 for connecting the front box 4 with the middle box 9 at a relatively movable state in an X direction, a rear connection mechanism 11 for connecting the rear box 8 with the middle box 9 at a relatively movable state in the X direction, a C-shaped support frame body 56 for supporting the middle box 9, and a tilting mechanism 90 connecting between the middle box 9 and the support frame body 56 and tilting the middle box 9 to the support frame body 56.
