PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable container which is favorable in sealing performance, that is, does not form a step between top end faces of erected side boards. SOLUTION: The foldable container 1 has connecting means which connect short side boards 40 to long side boards 60 at corners. Each connecting means is composed of a projecting piece 75 projecting from the end inner surface of each long side board 60 toward the inside (toward a recession of the container), and a cutout 56 formed at the end of each short side board 40. The projecting piece 75 and a cutout 56 are of tapered shapes and engaged with each other to exert a wedge effect by which both the side boards 60 and 40 are pulled and fixed to each other.
