<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give guidance on a displayed image with a simple mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: Guide information is retrieved by using a character string included in the displayed image, as a keyword. For example, when a user performs operation for requesting guidance when a screen W11 showing "e-mail" is displayed, the guide information corresponding to a keyword "e-mail" is presented from a plurality of guide information. When the user performs operation for requesting guidance when a screen W21 showing "creation" is displayed, the guide information corresponding to a keyword "creation" is presented from the plurality of guide information. When the screen has a hierarchical structure, the guide information can be retrieved by also using a keyword of an upper layer.
