PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure recovery apparatus, a failure recovery method and a program for suppressing a time to be spent on the recovery of a computer system while executing the obtaining of information which can be obtained only when failure is occurred from a computer system. SOLUTION: The failure recovery apparatus 1 includes: a failure detection part 11 for detecting failure occurred in a computer system 20; a recovery method determination part 12 for determining a recovery method from the failure; an analysis information obtaining part 13 for obtaining information for failure analysis, obtaining time to be spent on the obtaining of each obtaining information and analysis information to specify the priority order of each obtaining information; an obtaining information determination part 14 for determining obtaining information which can be obtained within a time available for the obtaining of the obtaining information in the priority order; an information obtaining part 15 for executing the obtaining of the determined obtaining information; and a recovery execution part 16 for recovering the computer system 20 according to the determined recovery method after the execution of obtaining.
