PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive device capable of suppressing a tilt of an optical axis of a lens. SOLUTION: The lens drive device includes: a movable body holding a lens and being movable in an optical axis direction; and a driving mechanism 4 for driving the movable body. The driving mechanism 4 includes: four driving magnets 11 formed in nearly pillar shape; and four driving coils 12 formed by being wound in nearly cylindrical shape. The four driving magnets 11 are arranged so that their longitudinal directions may be nearly parallel to the optical axis direction, and also arranged at position where they are not overlapped with each other when being viewed from the optical axis direction. Each of the four driving coils 12 is arranged so that its inner peripheral surface may be opposed to each of the outer peripheral surfaces of the four driving magnets 11 through a predetermined gap. The driving magnet 11 is magnetized to generate magnetic flux passing through the driving coil 12 at the position opposed to the driving coil 12.
