PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum inhibiting inclination of a brake shoe inclined by elastic restoring force of a shoe hold-down spring during drum brake operation. SOLUTION: In this drum brake, a shoe hold-down pin 66 is inclined by contact with a parking brake lever 28, a pressing center B gets out of a shoe stable zone 72, and the brake shoe 20 is inclined, when the drum brake 10 is not applied. A tip part 28b of the parking brake lever 28 rotates in an arrow F direction, the parking brake lever 28 separates from the shoe hold-down pin 66, the shoe hold-down pin 66 is made stand independently by bias force of a coil spring 68, and the shoe hold-down spring 62 moves so as to move the pressing center B into the shoe stable zone 72, when the drum brake 10 is applied. Consequently, the pressing center B returns into the shoe stable zone 72 and inclination of the brake shoe 20 is inhibited when the drum brake 10 is applied. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
