PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side ditch cleaning device capable of cleaning a side ditch on a road side face simply without removing a lid of the side ditch, collecting a large amount of sediment out of the side ditch without using water efficiently, letting action for scraping out deposit in the side ditch function as a means for causing its self-running in the side ditch, achieving excellent efficiency, and simplifying its structure. SOLUTION: A ground running vehicle provided with a collection container for storing collected sediment has a hangar for storing a running body 22 running inside the side ditch, which is payed out from the hangar together with a hose 18 and is introduced into the side ditch G when cleaning the side ditch. The running body 22 running inside the side ditch includes a rotary excavation implement 26, which makes the running body 22 inside the side ditch run by itself in the inside of the side ditch G while scraping out the sediment deposited on a bottom face of the side ditch G.
