PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of a power supply unit or the like with which an ID having a correlation with the connection order of processing units can be allocated for each processing unit, respectively. SOLUTION: A processing system 100 includes a plurality of power supply units 1 and a plurality of processing units 2. The processing system enables a user to arbitrarily select and configure a necessary unit from among the units 1, 2 in accordance with required scale. Each of the power supply units 1 is linked with the other power supply units 1, power sources of the processing units 2 are initiated in order from the post-stage side of the processing system, and IDs of numbers corresponding to the power supply initiation order are allocated to the respective processing units. Thus, an ID having the correlation with the connection order of processing units can be allocated for each processing unit. Each processing unit 2 is enabled to designate a communication partner using an ID represented by a relative value to its own ID, thereby accelerating a communication speed.
