PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of further enlarging a game board within a limited range by forming the width in the same direction as a right and left direction in the view of the game machine from the front thinly as much as possible in a locking device. SOLUTION: The game machine includes: a machine frame 1; a body frame 2 which is pivoted to one side of the front surface, and to which the game board 4 is disposed; and a transparent plate holding frame 3 which is pivoted to the same side on the front surface. The locking device A is provided on an open side. The locking device A includes: an operation rod 18 in a band plate shape formed in a vertically long flat shape, arranged so that a plate surface is positioned along the back and forth direction, and vertically moved by the operation of a lock 48; and flat latching members 21a-21c, 22a and 22b which are normally urged so as to lock the body frame 2 or the transparent plate holding frame 3 by resilient means 28, and open the body frame 2 or the transparent plate holding frame 3 in linkage opposing the urging of the resilient means 28 accompanying the vertical movement of the operation rod 18. In a range corresponding to the side end face 4b on the open side of the game board 4 at least in the locking device A, the operation rod 18 and the latching members are arranged on the same vertical plane in the back and forth direction.
