PURPOSE: A method for providing a messenger service charging a messenger service charge by distinguishing a wired/wireless terminal in a communication network is provided to supply instant messenger service of an expense system to a subscriber. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal transmits a chatting message to a messenger server(S301). The messenger server inserts terminal type information of the mobile communication terminal to the chatting message. The messenger server transmits the chatting message to a general-purpose computer(S303). The messenger server inserts terminal type information of the general-purpose computer to a report message(S307). The messenger server transmits billing data about the chatting message to a billing server.
