<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display capable of heightening optical uniformity even when a backlight is made thin in a direct type liquid crystal display using a light emitting element emitting light by a light emitting diode light source and the like. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display including a liquid crystal panel and a backlight, the backlight has the light emitting element 3 disposed on a lower side of the liquid crystal panel and emitting light toward the liquid crystal panel and a light guide sheet 4 disposed on an upper side of the light emitting element 3 and on the lower side of the liquid crystal panel, the light guide sheet 4 has a light emitting surface to which light from the light emitting element 3 is guided and which emits light in a surface shape on a side of the liquid crystal panel, a recessed part is formed in a directly upper part of the light emitting element 3 and dot-like or line-like patterns for emitting light are distributed so as to be made closer as separation from the recessed part in the light emitting surface, and the recessed part is formed to have an inner surface inclined so as to be tapered in the depth direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
