<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an outboard motor provided with a torque converter, preventing abrasion in a lockup mechanism, and relieving a shock in ON of the lockup mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: This control device of the outboard motor has a torque converter having the lockup mechanism and a hydraulic pressure supply means for turning on by supplying hydraulic pressure to a piston of the lockup mechanism, and calculates the speed ratio (e), based on an engine speed Ne inputted to the torque converter and a rotating speed Nd of a drive shaft outputted from the torque converter (S30), outputs a hydraulic pressure supply command to the piston of the lockup mechanism to the hydraulic pressure supply means when the calculated speed ratio (e) falls within a predetermined range (S32 and S38), and adjusts throttle opening TH of an internal combustion engine so that the engine speed Ne becomes the same engine speed as the rotating speed Nd of the drive shaft until the piston of the lockup mechanism becomes ON in response to the hydraulic pressure supply command (S40). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
