PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating spatula for a viscous material such as an adhesive which has a holding part in the base end side and a coating part in the tip end side, is surely held in a coating work to stabilize the operation of the spatula and is temporarily placed without sticking the viscous material remaining in the coating part. SOLUTION: The thickness of the side end parts of the holding part is made larger than other parts and a recessed surface parts to hold the tip side of the holding part with fingertip are provided on both side of the spatula.
