PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an impact resistance effective against an offset collision load, reduce the weight without increasing the weight, and improve the performance. SOLUTION: The bumper reinforcement for a vehicle has a hollow cross section including a front wall 11 arranged at a front position in the vertical direction, a rear wall 12 arranged at a rear position in the vertical direction, and upper wall 13 and a lower wall 14 interconnecting the upper and lower ends of the front wall 11 and the rear wall 12. The rear wall 12 has a mounting part to a stay 2. The upper end of the front wall 11 extends above the mounting part of the rear wall 12 mounted to the stay 2. At least the rear part of the upper wall 13 is formed into an inclined wall 22 inclined obliquely upward from the upper end of the stay 2 when the rear wall 12 is mounted to the stay 2. The inclined wall 22 is provided within a range more than half of the length of the upper wall 13 in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle body, and the angle of the inclined wall 22 with respect to the horizontal direction is 145 degrees or more.
