PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope system which synchronizes images displayed on monitors connected to a processor and an image processor, and the processor. SOLUTION: The electronic endoscope system includes an electronic endoscope which generates image signals of an observation target, the processor, and the image processor. The image processor has first image processing means which generates a first video signal by performing first image processing on the image signal, and processing time output means for outputting information on processing time in the first image processing to the processor. The processor includes image signal output means for outputting the image signal to the image processor, second image processing means which generates a second video signal by performing second image processing on the image signal, and first timing control means which controls the timing for outputting the second video signal based on the information on the processing time.
