The method involves adjusting an estimated departure time of a vehicle (1) by a user of the vehicle. A charging process of the storage unit i.e. chargeable battery (3), is automatically controlled depending on the adjusted estimated departure time by controlling temporal characteristics of a charging current for the storage unit. An air conditioning system (11) of the vehicle is automatically controlled depending on the adjusted estimated departure time. An independent claim is also included for a control device for a vehicle.
