The recess is formed vertically to a main extension direction of the welding seam. The recess is formed in such a way that a plastic deformation of the composite part emerging during the production of the welding seam is received from the recess. The height of the recess vertical to the main extension direction is larger or same the welding depth of the welding seam. The composite part comprises a first workpiece (2), which is connected with a second workpiece (3) in a contact area by a welding seam, where the first workpiece has an elastic recess (3) in contact area. The recess is formed vertically to a main extension direction of the welding seam. The recess is formed in such a way that a plastic deformation of the composite part emerging during the production of the welding seam is received from the recess. The height of the recess vertical to the main extension direction is larger or same the welding depth of the welding seam. The width of the recess vertical to the main extension direction is same the welding beam width in the area of the first workpiece and/or in the area of the recess. The recess is formed as bridge rectangular in cross-section, where the bridge extends itself along the main extension direction. The first workpiece is formed as tubular element and the recess comprises a flange of the tubular element. An independent claim is included for a method for the production of a composite part.
