The invention relates to a fishing reel, especially for fly fishing, comprising a spool (2) the annular or tubular hub part (3) (reel core) of which is removably received on a shaft (4). The removable shaft is axially immobilized in the hub part by means of at least one detachable snap-in connection (19, 12) and is non-rotatably retained in the reel base by means of at least one form-locking connection (18, 7).
