<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow two PTP sheets among PTP sheets conveyed back and forth in a one-by-one manner to be overlapped with each other at high speed, with their respective pocket portions opposed to each other. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for overlapping the PTP sheets includes a first conveyance passage 12 for conveying the PTP sheets 1 at certain intervals; a second conveyance passage 13 disposed above the first conveyance passage; a passage switching mechanism (reciprocating shutter 14) for alternately shifting the PTT sheet conveyed along the first conveyance passage to the second conveyance passage; a direction turning means (retainer member 20) for changing the back-and-forth direction of the PTP sheet conveyed along the second conveyance passage (turning guide path 25) by allowing the PTP sheet to slide on a conveyance surface and move forward so as to turn within the conveyance surface; and a transfer device 30 for reversing the PTP sheet whose back-and-forth direction is turned, and supplying it onto a fourth passage 35 disposed above a third path 12c of the first conveyance passage.
