<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly execute Image-retargeting about a stereo image having two or more pairs like a three-dimensional display. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus calculates a path of connection pixels of first image data based on pixel gradient energy, calculates each pixel of second image data corresponding to each pixel of the connection pixels of the first image data as an initial search point based on stereo correspondence relation between the first image data and the second image data, calculates a pixel wherein energy between a pixel of the first image data and a pixel of the second image data becomes minimum as a path of connection pixels of the second image data in the vicinity of the initial search point, and calculates a path of optimum connection pixels of the first image data by use of the energy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
