PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management device and an authentication processing program for performing user authentication to flexibly and appropriately give an access right even to an access range which is not fixed to each document without making it necessary to register an access right holder in advance in authenticating a user who requests access to a management object document.

SOLUTION: Only a person who knows the content of an access object document extracts a keyword that the person knows and recalls, and creates a key to be presented to a user by using the keyword so that authentication processing is performed.
