PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an ink ejection speed with which the ink is first discharged after preliminary vibration comparatively high, and to make the highest attainment speed in the ink ejection after preliminary vibration high. SOLUTION: In a step S9, preliminary vibration with regular interval is performed only M times established in a Step S7 (first preliminary vibration) at the point of time when a part located in the utmost downstream within a printable range in the paper sheet being transferred is located immediately under an ejection port located in the utmost upstream in a head. Thereafter, the operation rests without performing preliminary vibration until predetermined t0 ms passes. Thereafter, the preliminary vibration with the regular intervals is performed only N times established in the step S7 (second preliminary vibration).
