PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation method and a navigation system of electric vehicle which represents the number of batteries of the electric vehicle necessary up to a destination. SOLUTION: The navigation method includes the steps of: storing power consumption at least per road link; computing a current position; setting a destination, computing two or more routes from the current position to the destination, computing respective total power consumptions of the two or more routes from the power consumption per road link; computing the numbers of batteries necessary for the routes, based on the total power consumptions, distinguishably displaying the two or more routes on a map; and displaying the numbers of batteries for the respective routes.
