PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus can easily editing image files accumulated in a recording medium. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: a reproducing means configured to reproduces, in a prescribed order, a plurality of pieces of image information selected from a plurality of pieces of image information recorded in a recording medium; an image display means configured to display images to be displayed, which correspond to the pieces of image information reproduced by the reproducing means, in an arrangement corresponding to the prescribed order; an additional image selecting means configured to arbitrarily select an additional image to be reproduced, which should be added to the plurality of images to be reproduced which are displayed by the image display means, from the image information recorded in the recording medium; and a designating means configured to displaceably dispose a pointer between arbitrary two adjacent images to be reproduced out of the plurality of images to be reproduced which are displayed by the image display means, and designate an addition position of the additional image to be reproduced at the pointer position.
