PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up image transfer of a virtual machine, and to reduce a load on the transfer. SOLUTION: This virtual machine image transfer device previously allocates a memory image of the virtual machine to a memory before the transfer by associating a memory space of the virtual machine to a part of the memory of a transfer program of a physical machine on the transfer side when transferring the image of the virtual machine to another physical machine from the physical machine wherein the virtual machine operates, reads the allocated memory image of the virtual machine from the memory without performing the allocation in time of the transfer, and transfers it to the other physical machine.
