PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an image forming apparatus that uses a plurality of fixing devices, and also reduce cost and down time thereof. SOLUTION: The fixing device is provided with first and second fixing devices 4 and 5, each of which has a rotatable fixing member 6 and a rotatable pressure member 7 and passes a sheet P between them while toner is kept on the pressure contact surface of the sheet P, thereby fixing the toner. The fixing device includes: a cam 17 for bringing each fixing member 6 and the corresponding pressure member 7 into firm contact with each other or separating them; and entrance guide 8 disposed upstream of the second fixing device 5 serving as at least a downstream side fixing means in the direction of sheet conveyance among the plurality of fixing means, and used for supplying the sheet P to the second fixing device 5; a downstream side guide 114 serving as a downstream side conveyance device for conveying the sheet P downstream side of the second fixing device 5 in the direction of sheet conveyance; and an entrance lower guide 20 serving as a guide member, which is inserted into a separation space between the fixing member 6 and pressure member 7 separated by the cam 17 and transfers the sheet P from the entrance guide 8 to the downstream side guide 114.
