PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that, since a pin of an umbilical connector of a satellite is exposed to the outer space on an orbit, high-energy electron beams flying from the outer space enter from the connector pin into an inner cable, internal charge and discharge may occur, causing the equipment to be malfunctioned and failed. SOLUTION: An umbilical connector 1 is mounted on a satellite 2, and electrically connected to an interface mounted on a rocket 10 mounting the satellite. The umbilical connector includes a blocking mechanism 20 for blocking a conductor of the umbilical connector which is exposed after the satellite is detached from the rocket.
