PURPOSE: A solenoid valve for a transmission is provided to secure a magnetic force strong enough for controlling a high pressure and high flow rate. CONSTITUTION: A solenoid valve for a transmission comprises a solenoid part and a valve part driven by the operation of the solenoid part. The solenoid part comprises a core(220), a yoke(270), and a plunger(240). The yoke is separated from the core and has a first width, a second width, and a third width on a longitudinal plane successively toward the core, wherein the first width is greater than the second width and the second width is greater than the third width. The plunger operates the valve part by being reciprocated with the core and the yoke.
