PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized inkjet printing apparatus which can print a high quality print without blurring. SOLUTION: The inkjet printing apparatus includes: a carriage having a first inkjet head for ejecting a pretreatment agent for pretreating to coating with ink for forming an image, and a second inkjet head for ejecting the ink; a moving means for moving back and forth the carriage in the main scanning direction; and a drying means for drying at least the pretreatment agent coated on a material to be printed, wherein the carriage is arranged by facing the material to be printed, and the drying means is positioned on the opposite side to the face facing the material to be printed of the carriage, and the drying means is fixed on the inkjet printing apparatus body, and has a length enough for drying the whole width of the printing area in the main scanning direction.
