PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus optimizing photographing and reproduction display of an HD moving image without degrading operability upon photographing a still image. SOLUTION: This imaging apparatus includes: an imaging element 26 for imaging object light to output an imaging signal; a device body for housing the imaging element 26 therein; and a display member 12 turnable around a predetermined direction and a direction intersecting with the predetermined direction with respect to the device body; wherein the display member 12 includes a first display portion 14 displaying through images based on the imaging signal 26, and a second display portion 22 arranged on the back face of a surface with the first display portion 14 arranged thereon, having a display region of a size different from the display region of the first display portion 14, and displaying the through images.
