PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inattentive driving detecting device for making a proper decision based on a face image without having an enlarged shadow caused by an uneven facial features of a driver. SOLUTION: The device includes: an image capturing means for capturing an image with the face of the driver; a light source, which is arranged so that a light axis is made to be almost parallelly in a direction of the image capturing means in the vicinity of the image capturing means; a detection means for detecting a part reflected by a light emitted from the light source based on the image; a face position detection means for detecting a position of the face of the driver; and a decision means for determining the inattentive driving based on the position of the face and the reflected part.
