PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten processing to determine the scene of an image. SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus 100, a scene determination part 120 detects a plurality of segments connected to each other at a prescribed angle based on an input image, and registers each detected segment in the same group, and the scene detection part 120 determines that the scene of the image is in the middle of a street when the size of each segment included in the same group is equal to or more than a threshold, and the scene determination part 120 determines that the scene of the image is outside the street when the size of each segment is less than the threshold.
