PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently charge a secondary battery with the output of a solar battery even while the output of the solar battery is reduced. SOLUTION: The solar battery system include a solar battery 1, a secondary battery 2 charged by the solar battery 1, a stabilization circuit 3 that supplies the output of the solar battery 1 to the secondary battery 2, a switching element 4 that bypasses the output of the solar battery 1 to the stabilization circuit 3 and outputs it to the secondary battery 2, and a control circuit 5 that exerts control to turns on and off the switching element 4. The control circuit 5 switches the switching element 4 on and supplies the output of the solar battery 1 to the secondary battery 2 through the switching element 4 and charges it in the following states: a state in which the output of the solar battery 1 is reduced to a value lower than a set value continuously for a predetermined time or temporarily; a state in which the voltage of the secondary battery 2 is lower than a preset on-voltage; or a state in which the output of the solar battery 1 is reduced to the value lower than the set value continuously for the predetermined time or temporarily and the voltage of the secondary battery 2 is lower than the on-voltage.
