Only either coded video data relating to a main image for the right eye or the offset metadata is disposed in a data portion of a TS packet of the video stream for the right eye. A header of the TS packet of the video stream for the right eye describes the transport priority indicating that data disposed in the data portion of the TS packet is the coded video data relating to the main image for the right eye or the offset metadata. The present invention is applicable, for example, to a reproducing device for three-dimensionally displaying a sub-image.
