<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is necessary to eliminate a high burden on a control device in consequence of that control is complicate when a carriage and a damping member are driven by separate driving sources. <P>SOLUTION: The damping member 42 which restricts vibration because of movement of the carriage 5 is moved by a damping driving motor 41 comprised of a stepping motor controllable by a different pulse input from that of the carriage 5, thereby updating a position count each time the carriage 5 is moved by a predetermined amount by a carriage position detecting means 113 which detects a position in a moving direction of the carriage 5. A first pulse generating means 118 generates a pulse for moving the damping driving motor 41 one step each time the position count of the carriage position detecting means 113 is updated by a predetermined amount, and moves the damping member 42 by driving the damping driving motor 41 by this pulse. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
