<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeper capable of generating power using vibration energy, having a simple structure, manufacturable at low cost, and capable of generating a large amount of power. <P>SOLUTION: This sleeper 1 includes a sleeper body 6 and cantilever parts 2 extending toward the other portion in a cantilevered manner. A power generating device 3 capable of generating a voltage according to the vibration in the sleeper is mounted on the cantilevered part 2, and the one end of the cantilevered part 2 is made free.
