<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer medium which can transfer a recording material to a desired position on a target as well as a transfer method. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer medium is used for transferring a metallic ink layer B to an object to which the ink layer B is transferred, and includes a sheet-like base film 12 on which the metallic fink layer B is formed, and a carrier film 20 which reinforces the base film 12 to be bonded, with an adhesive, to the opposite side to the surface of the base film 12 where the metallic ink layer B is formed.
