CRYSTAL VIBRATOR, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal vibrator for preventing unnecessary excitation of a vibration mode.

SOLUTION: This crystal vibrator includes: a crystal piece of a nearly-rectangular shape in a plan view formed into a flat form; drive electrodes arranged at the central parts of the upper and lower surfaces of the crystal piece and each formed of a conductive material; mounted electrodes arranged on the upper and lower surfaces of the crystal piece and electrically connected to the drive electrodes; and cross-sectionally V-shaped recessed parts arranged oppositely to each other between the drive electrodes and a longitudinal outer peripheral part of the crystal piece, and formed with surfaces stable against etching.
