<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system, a printer, and an information processing apparatus which can efficiently perform printing accompanied with compression and decompression of print data. <P>SOLUTION: The printing system 500 compresses page data and stores the compressed page data (compressed print data) in an MFP 200. When performing printing, the MFP 200 decompresses the compressed print data to print the data. When the page data are compressed, a compression condition (for example, a compression system or a compression rate) is properly changed (S122, S123, and S131) in accordance with the length of a predictive stay time when compressed print data after compression of the page data stay in the storage part of the MFP 200. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
