An arc extinguishing cover (5) is attached to a case (4) so as to hermetically seal an arc extinguishing chamber (S). This arc extinguishing cover includes an engaging power increased portion (5c1) at which the cover engages with the case with increased power and an engaging power reduced portion (5c2) at which the cover engages with the case with reduced power. When the internal pressure of the arc extinguishing chamber is increased due to occurrence of arc gas, the engaging power reduced portion releases the engagement with the case and forms a gap (27) between the engaging power reduced portion and the case so that the arc extinguishing chamber communicates with the outside air while the engaging power increased portion maintains the engagement with the case.
