PURPOSE: An access method of a flash memory device for partitioning a memory block into two sub blocks is provided to reduce merge and garbage collection time by partitioning the memory block into two sub blocks. CONSTITUTION: First and second storage regions in one memory block of a flash memory device are set up as free blocks. The first and second storage regions are respectively set as a data block.
