<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data modifying device capable of mixing an error by modifying data transferred in a time series. <P>SOLUTION: Sorting conditions of a TS packet are designated to a TS packet condition sorting processing section 52, and a TS packet where the modification of data is desired is selected from the TS packets for composing a TS outputted from a personal computer 30. Modification conditions of the data in the TS packet are designated to data modification processing sections 53a-53n in each packet, and data of the TS packet are modified. A delay time is designated to respective delay processing sections 54, 55a-55n, jitter is allowed to occur in the TS packet, and the order of the TS packets outputted from the personal computer 30 is changed. In this manner, the data modifying device enables a user to modify the data of TS inputted from the outside appropriately for outputting outside.
