The tolerances on the diameters of the bolt body 58 and the holes 54, 56 and the radii r 1 , r 2 of the hole axes from the respective disc axes are such that, with r 1 at the tolerance minimum and r 2 at the tolerance maximum, r 1 is greater than r 2 by a distance at least equal to the sum of the maximum clearances between the bolt body 58 and the holes 54, 56. Therefore the bolt body 58 will always engage the outer surface of the hole 54 and the inner surface of the hole 56 to prevent relative movement of the flanges 50, 52. The flanges are scalloped between the holes 54, 56 to approximately the depth of outer surfaces of the holes. |
