There is provided an exhaust gas purification device that can generate uniform plasma discharge in a large number of minute spaces in a honeycomb structure. The exhaust gas purification device includes: a plasma generating section; an electrode for drawing plasma generated inside the device out of the plasma generating section; and a honeycomb structure between the plasma generating section and the electrode, wherein the exhaust gas purification device is configured so that a direction of exhaust gas flowing through hollow tubes in the honeycomb structure is identical to a connecting direction between the plasma generating section and the electrode.
