PURPOSE: A memory management module and a memory management method are provided to improve the real-time performance of a system by minimizing the time taken for memory arrangement and memory allocation. CONSTITUTION: A memory manager(101) allocates and manages a first or second domain of a divided block memory(201), and comprises a block allocator and a free block manager. If the block to be allocated is short when allocating the first domain, a DMA(Direct Memory Access) unit(102) copies the data of the first domain to the second domain and deletes the data of the first domain. If the block to be allocated is short when allocating the second domain, the DMA unit copies the data of the second domain to the first domain and deletes the data of the second domain.
