Method and device for moving a tool in soil

The device has a coupling units (50, 52) engaged with recesses (26, 28, 70) of rod assemblies (22, 72) such that the coupling units transmit a feed force from a push-pull unit to the assemblies via contact areas (58-64) of the coupling units. A counter force opposite to the feed force generates torque acting on the coupling units. The coupling units produce a non-positive connection between the push-pull unit and the assemblies by a contact force and transmit another feed force to the assemblies via the connection. A part of the feed forces causes a linear movement of the assemblies. An independent claim is also included for a method for moving a working unit in a ground.
