The process for altering an assembly of metal parts (2, 3) based on nickel or cobalt alloy by high temperature brazing in a furnace, comprises altering the brazed zones (5) of metal parts using a pulsed mode laser (10) with a power of 1500-3000 W, and protecting the brazed metal parts against oxidation (20) using a gaseous protection device. The altered zones are provided with a supply metal, which is in the form of powder, paste, grains or sintered preforms and is compatible with a metal that is used during the initial brazing of metal parts.
